Programme 2017

This year's overarching theme is "The Arrival of the Outsider" [1], which will apply to all theatre performances and events held at the two Epidaurus theatres, as well as the Epidaurus Lyceum workshops. This key theme is relevant to the contemporary dilemmas and concerns of Europe and the rest of the world, in light of the ongoing migrant and refugee crisis, and will be reflected in the chosen ancient texts and their dramatization..

[1] Eleusis (The arrival) by Efimia D. Karakantza, Assistant Professor of Ancient Greek Literature, University of Patras.
