A literary walk in the footsteps of Stratis Myrivilis
Athens: Sites of Memory

This year marks the 50-year anniversary since the death of the major Greek writer Stratis Myrivilis, who passed away on 19 July 1969.

Having the writer's house in Eressou street as a starting point and a prologue with journalist N. Vatopoulos, this walk will feature three stops in Exarcheia and Neapoli, with actors D. Mothonaios and K. Giannakopoulos reading excerpts from Myrivilis' Coloured Books, each of which focuses on a specific area of Athens. The writer Kostas Akrivos will provide the epilogue.

Meeting point: Eressou 59

Following the extremely successful walks and guided tours we have organized together with the Elliniki Etairia - Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage and the Organizations and Citizens Network for the Historic Centre of Athens in historic landmarks of Athens, the "Athens: Sites of Memory" project continues for the third year in a row with three walks in iconic locations of Athens.
