In addition to his formidable acting talent, popular Greek actor Giannis Bezos is also renowned for his considerable vocal skills. Bezos may be best known as an actor and director. However, Greek audiences has also cherished those occasions in which Bezos has sung live, as in the recent performance Heart and Memory. Bezos and fellow actress Iro Bezou will perform at this year’s Athens Festival, inviting audiences to an evening dedicated to the so-called ‘poets of defeat’: Manolis Anagnostakis, Giannis Theodorakis and Tasos Livaditis. A performance that will truly hold a candle to three low-key masters of poetry.
