George Sampatakakis

Assistant Professor of Theatre Studies at the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Patras. Sampatakakis is a valedictorian graduate of the Theatre Studies department of the University of Athens, has specialized in ancient Greek tragedy at the University of Cambridge (M.Phil.) with a scholarship by the aforementioned institution, and received his doctoral degree on Theatre Studies from the University of London with a scholarship by the Onassis Foundation. His areas of interest include the History and Theory of Theatre, the Theory of Theatre Directing and Critical Reviewing, and the Anthropology of Theatre. He has participated in many scientific conferences in Greece and abroad and has been a member of the state committees of theatre grants.
