Nikos Karathanos

Eight Women
by Robert Thomas

Eight of the best actors working in Greece today, most of whom are of the younger generation and each of whom has already forged a career of substance alongside distinguished Greek directors, decided to come together and take a creative risk by mounting this production of a Robert Thomas whodunit: eight women snowed in at a house on Christmas Day are the suspects for the murder of a man with whom they are all linked.

Like their ancient counterparts, Aimilios, Argyris, Giannis, Giorgos, Kosmas, Nikos and the two Christos will be attempting the duel feat of transforming themselves into the opposite sex and into their allotted dramatic personae in their search for the unseen facets of the characters and their relationships.

This entertaining work is “a thriller in pursuit of itself, a comedy in search of a drama...”
